Nora Jil Helga Langen’s practice moves between sculpture, installation, and spatial intervention. Her work engages with materiality, space, and the human body as a site of resistance and transformation. She develops works in which touch, time, and change are inscribed, negotiating tensions between control and loss of control.

Nora Jil Helga Langen (*1993, lives and works in Cologne) completed her diploma in the class Installation and Space at the Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig (HGB) under Prof. Joachim Blank in 2025. Her solo and group exhibitions include Nice Connection (with Carlotta Lösch-Will) at Gomo Artspace, Vienna (2023), Image Fetiche at Galerie Stephanie Kelly, Dresden (2022), Underestimated. Female Artists in Leipzig around 1900 at the Museum of Fine Arts Leipzig (2022) as well Residency II at BSMNT Baumwollspinnerei Leipzig (2022).

Her curatorial practice is closely connected to her artistic work and follows a collaborative approach that incorporates participatory formats and collective processes. From 2019 to 2024, she co-directed the independent art space Bistro 21 in Leipzig, and in 2021 and 2022 the Skulpturen Park Leipzig. Since 2025, she has been part of Neu Cöln, realizing exhibition, fair, and festival formats. In addition, she works within institutional contexts, including public space, art mediation, and the gallery sector.
